What is included in the rental fee?
All apartments are fully furnished, and bed linens, towels and kitchen supplies are included in the cost of your rental. All utilities are also included, with the exception of long-distance phone calls or other out-of-the-ordinary phone charges.
For monthly rentals, cleaning is required after two weeks at the charge of the renter (80 Euros flat fee, including laundering of bed linens & towels). Monthly rates shown on our website are based on 28 nights (4 weeks). A monthly electricity fee may apply to rentals for longer than 1 month. Please inquire for details.
How do I reserve the apartment?
To reserve the apartment, you can click use the « BOOK YOUR APARTMENT » button, select the apartment you want to reserve, and then follow the steps until the payment is completed.
We will email you the rental agreement for you to sign and return to us. We require half of the rental fee in advance, paid to Paris Rentals by Ruben, « Your keys to the World »S.L.. Thirty days prior to your check-in date the remaining amount is due, plus the full damage deposit.
If you are booking within 30 days of arrival, Paris Rentals by Ruben will request the full amount upon booking, including damage deposit. When a reservation is for less than one week (7 nights), we ask for the full rental fee upon reservation. The damage deposit is due 30 days before arrival and payable in the same manner.
How do I pay?
Payments are made directly on our website through Kigo. If you would like to pay directly with a major credit card, please email us for a payment link or you can call directly to pay over the phone.
Do I Have to Pay a Damage Deposit or Security Deposit?
Fully-refundable damage deposits between 300-500 euros are required on all apartment rentals. Damage deposits are paid with your rental fee. Payment of the damage deposit is required with the final payment of the balance owed.
We are pleased to say that our renters are normally very respectful of the apartments and we refund nearly all damage deposits in full. After you check out of the apartment, we will clean it and verify there are no damages, lost keys, missing items or apartments left in excessively dirty condition. Should any of these situations apply, the resulting charges would be deducted from your damage deposit. Smoking inside the apartment will result in a forfeiture your entire damage deposit.
While the rental agreement gives us 30 days to refund your deposit, you can generally expect to receive within a week after your departure. The refund of your damage deposit will be processed and refunded to you after you check out, normally in the same way you paid the deposit initially.
Do I need to sign a rental agreement or contract?
Yes. You will be asked to accept the terms of our rental agreement when you pay for the rental.
Who will meet me when I arrive in Paris?
We are always glad to meet our guests face-to-face when they arrive in Paris. We will show you around the apartment, show you how to use things such as French clothes washers and tricky door keys. We do check-ins 7 days a week, preferably between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m., so as not to disturb the neighbors in the building. If you have an arrival outside of these times, we will do our very best to accommodate you.
We request your flight information well in advance so we can arrange to meet you at the apartment. Once you have paid in full, we will provide you with a printable arrival sheet which includes important information such as door codes and our mobile phone number so you will feel secure and prepared on your arrival day.
What if I need an early check-in?
If the apartment is vacant the night before you arrive, we will be happy to make it available for your check-in upon arrival. However, it is unavoidable that we will sometimes have guests leaving the same day you arrive. If you want a guarantee for an early check-in with full access to the apartment, then you must pay to reserve the night before your arrival.
Otherwise, you may arrive at the apartment anytime after 9 a.m. We will show you how everything in the apartment works, give you the keys, and answer any questions you may have. If the cleaning still has to be done, we will give you an estimate of when it will be completed (normally a couple of hours). Guests must leave the apartment while it is being cleaned so you may leave your luggage and return later. If you are arriving in the mid-afternoon or later then the apartment will be clean when you arrive in nearly all cases.
If you arrive at the apartment before 9am or after 9 p.m., an additional check-in fee of 30 euros will apply. If you arrive at the apartment at midnight or later, a late check-in fee of 40 Euros will apply.
When Is check-out time?
Standard check-out time is 10 a.m. Guests and luggage must be out of the apartment by this time to accommodate the cleaning schedule. Should you desire a late check-out, it must be arranged in advance and a fee will apply. If you need a place to store your luggage on your check-out day, you can do so at Gare du Nord (west entrance off rue Dunkerque, downstairs) and when you return to get your luggage, it is convenient to take a taxi or the RER B directly from there to the airport. We are sorry but we CANNOT store your luggage.
Can I cancel my reservation? Will I receive a refund?
Apartment rentals are not like hotels in terms of reservations, and likewise, we cannot offer hotel refund policies. We will offer you a full refund if you cancel 60 days or more in advance of your booking, minus a 200 Euro or 10% processing fee. If you cancel within 60 days, we cannot guarantee you a refund unless we find another renter to for the dates we had reserved on your behalf. If we do find a renter, your money will be refunded by the owner minus a 200 euro processing fee. In the unlikely event that the apartment becomes unrentable for a reason that is beyond our control (lack of utilities, unforeseen construction, etc.), we will alert you to the problem as soon as possible and do our best to move you to another apartment based on availability or provide a refund.
